Mike was appointed as City Manager and began on December 1, 2023. Prior to working for the City of Kermit, he served as Executive Director for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, City Manager for the City of Littlefield and Mayor of the City of Shallowater. He also held several positions with the City of Lubbock, and as legislative director for State Representative Carl H. Isett.
Mike is active in the Texas City Managers Association (TCMA) where he serves on the Professional Development Committee and the Advocacy Committee. He is also a member of the International City Managers Association.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and attended St. Edward’s University in Austin in the Master’s Program for Business Management. Mike is a Certified Public Manager and a graduate of the Governor’s Executive Development Program.
