Rodney Hayes, Councilman of District 1, was born in Kermit in 1958 and raised there. He graduated from Kermit High School in 1976. He purchased his business in 1986, and his daughter was born in 1988. He has always been an active resident of Kermit and wants to see the city grow. He has consistently kept up with and participated in city activities. He is currently serving his third term and has used his council seat as a learning tool. He is proud to serve the citizens and residents.
