The City of Kermit is inviting qualified individuals to submit a Letter of Interest for appointment as Municipal Court Judge. Applicants must explain their interest in the position, the role of a municipal judge in the community, and how their personality and interpersonal skills would contribute to success in the role. Submissions must include a résumé or CV and demonstrate that the applicant meets state law qualifications and will complete required training within one year of appointment. Materials are due by Thursday, February 12, 2026, to City Secretary Diana Franco at City Hall. Applications will be reviewed by the City Council, and selected candidates may be interviewed. The City reserves the right to accept or reject submissions in the City’s best interest.
